Job Description:

We are looking for a Compliance expert to support Statrys’ global business operation and also serve as Deputy MLRO for our Hong Kong office. This is a group-level role with international exposure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Day-to-day handling of AML/CFT/fraud-related matters and providing compliance advice and decisions.
• Conduct review and investigations on the escalated suspicious transactions, support in SAR/STR filings with high-quality documentations and timely regulatory engagement.
• Plan, scope, and execute independent compliance testing and QA reviews across the full spectrum of financial crimes compliance to assess both design and operational effectiveness of controls.
• Manage the day-to-day interaction and formalities required with internal and external counterparties to comply with regulatory requirements.
• Support the ongoing enhancement and maintenance of AML/CFT Policies and Procedures and SOPs.
• Build and deliver periodic MI reporting, providing insights and trends on incidents.
• Support with periodic and ad-hoc AML/Compliance-related trainings.
• Support new product launches by assessing compliance risks and advising on control, and participate in ad-hoc projects relating to AML/CFT/fraud areas.
• Support and participate in audits/regulatory inspections, and ensure timely follow-up on remediations.
• Report and provide support to the Global Head of Risk & Compliance on Regulatory/AML/Compliance matters.

Requirements:

• Above 5 years’ relevant experience in regulatory/AMLCFT compliance, ideally in the financial services/fintech industries.
• Knowledge in HK/SG and other jurisdiction AMLCFT laws and regulations
• Experience in interacting with regulators and/or law enforcement agents is a good plus
• Strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills
