Types of Accounts Available

Statrys only offers corporate accounts for business purposes. 

Business Account

Statrys offers a virtual business account that allows you to receive and hold funds in 11 major currencies, including HKD, SGD, RMB, USD,  EUR, GBP, AUD, CAD, NZD, JPY, and CHF, with just one account number. 

Moreover, you can seamlessly make outward payments in other 7 currencies in addition to those 11 currencies: THB, KRW, VND, INR, IDR, PHP, and TRY. You can send money conveniently through local transfers and international networks and benefit from a real-time SWIFT payment tracking feature. 

Statrys accounts also come with physical and virtual prepaid cards that support ATM cash withdrawals.

Eligibility

You can apply for an account with Statrys if your business is not involved in any prohibited industries, such as cryptocurrency trading, money services businesses, or pharmacological goods. 

Countries Eligible

Your company must be incorporated in Hong Kong, Singapore, or the BVI to open a Statrys business account.

If your business is not registered in those jurisdictions, you may still be eligible for a Statrys business account if you operate within specific industries and have business connections with Hong Kong or Asia. Exception industries include:

• International logistics and transportation
• IT and telecom services
• Mobile phone trading

However, it is important to note that this exception depends on each business, and Statrys typically does not provide services for companies incorporated outside Hong Kong, Singapore, and the BVI.

Almost every type of business entity can apply for a Statrys business account, including the following:

• Sole proprietor or sole trader
• Public limited company (PLC)
• Limited liability company (LLC)
• Limited liability partnership (LLP)
• Trusts and other similar structure
• Registered charities or foundations

What Documents Do I Need to Open a Statrys Business Account?

You will need to upload two documents when opening a business account with Statrys:

• A copy of the passport(s) of the directors and shareholders
• A copy of your business registration certificate

However, Statrys may request additional documents depending on the nature of your business.

How To Open a Statrys Business Account

Step 1 - Visit Statrys’ Website

The first step to open a Statrys account is to visit the website and click “Get Started” on the top right corner to enter the application portal. 

Next, choose “Open a Business Account.”

Step 2- Choose Your Account Manager

The next step is to choose your account manager, who will provide direct assistance after your account is approved.

Step 3 - Choose Where Your Business Is Registered

The third step is to choose where your business is incorporated. If your company is not yet registered in Hong Kong, Singapore, or the BVI, you can select “other jurisdictions” to check if you may be eligible.

Step 4 - Provide Your Information 

After choosing where your company is incorporated, you must provide your personal and business details. These include:

• Your first and last name
• Your email address (you will have to verify this email address)
• Your nationality and country of residence
• Your company information, such as registered name and address
• Business details, including how you will use the account
• Your company structure

Additionally, you will have to upload the supporting documents during this step. 

After completing and submitting the application, the onboarding team will review everything and contact you within 48 hours to discuss the next step.

How Long Does It Take To Open a Statrys Business Account?

The application process should take around 10 minutes to complete if you have all the necessary information and documents ready. 

After submitting your application, the onboarding team will contact you within 48 hours, and you should be able to start using your new account in as fast as 3 days. 

How Much Does It Cost to Open a Statrys Business Account?

Statrys does not charge an account opening fee under normal circumstances. There are also no minimum deposit requirements.
