Key Takeaways
Eligibility is strictly UK, EEA, or US. Companies incorporated in Hong Kong, Singapore, or most of Asia cannot open a Revolut Business account.
No free plan on Revolut Business UK. Basic costs GBP 10/month, and its GBP 1,000/month FX allowance at interbank rate runs out quickly for any business doing real international volume. After that, FX fees are 0.6% to 1%, and likely based on Revolut’s own rate.
Strong for multi-currency needs, with 25+ currencies, and the accounting integrations are accessible for all plans.
Revolut Business is one of the most recognisable names in business accounts, and the pricing looks simple on the surface: GBP 10 a month to get started. The catch is that the Basic plan's GBP 1,000/month FX allowance runs out quickly for any business doing regular international payments, and features that growing businesses typically need, like bulk payments, are either locked behind higher plans. A dedicated account manager comes only with Enterprise, which is custom-priced.
This review covers what Revolut Business actually costs at different usage volumes, which features you will hit a wall on, and when it makes sense to look elsewhere.
One important note upfront: Revolut Business is only available to companies registered in the UK, the European Economic Area (EEA), or the United States. If your company is incorporated in Hong Kong, Singapore, or elsewhere in Asia, you are not eligible to open an account.
Disclosure: Statrys offers multi-currency business accounts for companies in Hong Kong and Singapore, a different market from Revolut Business (UK, EEA, US). We have made every effort to present an accurate, evidence-based review. All fee data is sourced directly from Revolut's official pricing pages and is accurate as of April 2026.
Who Revolut Business Works For and Who It Does Not
Good fit
- Companies wanting a comprehensive range of services in one place — spending, receiving payments, integrations, crypto, APIs, cards, bulk payments, and more.
- Digital-first business managing spending across multiple currencies or operate across multiple countries
- Teams that want expense controls — issue physical and virtual cards per employee, set spending limits, and track budgets without separate software.
Not a good fit
- Your company is incorporated outside the UK, EEA, or the US. Companies incorporated in Hong Kong, Singapore, or most of Asia are not eligible.
- Founders who are looking for a completely fee-free account with no monthly cost
- Businesses that need human customer support. Revolut’s in-app chat is responsive for routine queries, but a dedicated account manager is only available on the highest-tier enterprise plan. Phone support is not avaliable.
- You're doing serious FX volume where the monthly cap bites. Once you are converting GBP 30,000 or more per month, providers with volume-based pricing or no monthly cap may offer better economics.
Revolut Business Plans Explained

The Basic plan works as an entry point for small businesses just testing the platform. The GBP 1,000 FX allowance sounds reasonable until you process your first month of supplier payments. For a business converting GBP 5,000 a month into other currencies, you may exceed the cap in the first week and pay the 0.6% overage fee on the rest.
Grow is where most active SMEs end up. The GBP 15,000 FX allowance covers most businesses with minimal import/export volume, and the 5 free international transfers per month are useful. Bulk payments also unlock here, which matters for companies running payroll or paying multiple suppliers at once.
Scale makes economic sense if you need to do regular high-volume FX.
Revolut Business Account Fees: What You Will Actually Pay
Beyond the monthly subscription, these are the fees you will encounter regularly:
| Fee type | Amount |
|---|---|
| FX overage (past monthly allowance) | 0.6% on the interbank rate |
| Exchange outside market hours | 1% additional fee on top of rate |
| International transfer (past free allowance) | GBP 5 per transfer + SWIFT OUR fees where applicable |
| Local transfer (past free allowance) | GBP 0.20 per transfer |
| ATM withdrawal | 2% fee. |

Real-Cost Example: GBP 20,000 in Monthly International Payments
Here is what the fees actually look like for a business converting GBP 20,000 per month into supplier currencies.
| Cost component | Basic | Grow | Scale |
|---|---|---|---|
| Monthly plan fee | GBP 10 | GBP 30 | GBP 90 |
| FX allowance used | GBP 1,000 free | GBP 15,000 free | GBP 20,000 free |
| FX overage (0.6% on remainder) | GBP 114 (GBP 19k x 0.6%) | GBP 30 (GBP 5k x 0.6%) | GBP 0 |
| 1 international transfer | GBP 5 (no free allowance) | Included (5 free) | Included (25 free) |
| Estimated monthly total | GBP 129 | GBP 60 | GBP 90 |
At GBP 20,000/month in FX, Basic is almost never the right plan. Grow costs less per month once you factor in the overage difference, and Scale becomes worth considering only when you are doing significantly higher volumes. The 2% ATM fee across all plans is worth flagging for any business using Revolut cards for cash withdrawals abroad. It does not change with plan tier. A Scale subscriber pays the same 2% as a Basic one.
Note: Estimated totals reflect fees only and exclude any FX rate margin applied to currency conversions. The actual cost of exchanging currency will depend on the rate offered at the time of transaction.
