What Is Bunq?
Launched in 2015, Bunq is a Dutch neobank offering online banking services to individuals and businesses with a focus on automation and multi-currency support. It operates under a full EU banking licence and provides features like automated bookkeeping, VAT savings, and budgeting to help businesses simplify cross-border transactions and streamline operations.
Sustainability is also a key focus for Bunq Bank, with initiatives aimed at reducing environmental impact. Through its Easy Green subscription, Bunq users can offset their carbon footprint by automatically planting a tree for every EUR 100 spent. Additionally, this digital-only bank ensures that deposits are not invested in industries like fossil fuels or weapons, instead directing funds toward ethical and sustainable projects. [1]

Bunq’s Feature Rating is 7/10
Bunq provides a modern business banking solution with strong multi-currency support, API integrations, and team expense management tools.
However, unlike Revolut and N26 debit cards, which draw directly from business accounts, Bunq cards are prepaid and require manual top-ups with limits. This may not suit businesses needing flexible spending.
Additionally, Bunq lacks foreign exchange services like forward contracts and does not offer loans or overdraft options, which may be drawbacks for businesses that frequently handle cross-border payments or require credit facilities. Therefore, we rate Bunq business account features 7 out of 10.

For detailed pricing information, please refer to Bunq’s Pricing Document.[9]
Bunq’s Pricing Rating is 7/10
Bunq’s pricing is clear and structured, with flat-rate monthly fees and transparent transaction costs. However, limits on free transactions, high FX markups, and international transfer fees make it less attractive for businesses with frequent cross-border payments.
For companies operating mainly in EUR and within SEPA, the fees are reasonable. However, businesses with high transaction volumes, frequent FX conversions, or multiple employee cards might find more cost-effective fintech alternatives that offer better FX rates and lower international transfer costs.
